A LOCAL Japanese restaurant in Kimmage has stepped forward to sponsor Crumlin United with brand new Puma kit for the forthcoming season.

A family-run business located on Kimmage Road Lower, Honkaku Sushi & Thai opened their doors to the public a year ago and were delighted to help support the team within the local community.

Established in 1967, Crumlin United Football Club is renowned for the development of some of the best football talent that this country has seen.

The club’s most famous son is Ireland’s record goal scorer Robbie Keane but there are countless numbers of other player who developed through the academy in Pearse Park.

The club’s junior teams compete in the Dublin District Schoolboys League (the biggest schoolboy league in Europe) and the senior teams compete in the Leinster Senior League.

The club has an affiliation with St Patrick’s Athletic Football Club and together form a pathway to national league football for schoolboy players to aspire to.
