Nine Dublin boozers are in the running for Irish Pub of the Year

NINE Dublin pubs, including some of the Southside’s favourite watering holes, have been nominated in various categories to go forward in the Irish Pub of the Year Awards 2019.

The pubs will represent the Dublin region in various categories and compete with six other regions at the National Awards Finals to take place at a gala event in RDS Concert Hall on November 20.

The Southside nominees from the Dublin Region include: Best Food Pub – Wright’s Anglers Rest Chapelizod; Best Tourist Pub – Johnny Fox’s Pub Glencullen; Best Music Pub – The Temple Bar Pub Temple Bar; Best Outdoor Space – The Goat’s Grill Goatstown; Best Newcomer – Davitt’s Pub Camden Street; Best Late Night Bar – Café en Seine, Dawson Street.

All 63 regional winners representing 20 counties will be showcased as best in class in their region and will receive a prize package of management training to help them progress their business further.

All regional winners will also avail of comprehensive media coverage including a profile piece in a special Awards Supplement in the Irish Independent on the day of the Awards Presentation on November 20.

The Irish Pub Awards have enjoyed substantial growth each year.

Now in its third year, the Irish Pub Awards are now acknowledged as the definitive industry standard and have gained recognition throughout the trade as a credible and comprehensive assessment of the best in Irish pubs.
