LUCK was in the air for two ladies from Crumlin and one from Cabra who won €14,000 each playing Bingo in Jack Pott’s at The Star in Crumlin and in The Cabra Grand.

One of the prizes of €14,000 was shared between the Murray family, who were presented with their big cheque last week by Sandy Coleman from Jack Pott’s Bingo at the local Crumlin venue.

The life-changing amount was celebrated by Donna Murray and her mum Alice, sister Ann, grandmother Bernie and their friend Susan.

Having played together for over 10 years, Donna said: “This is our biggest winnings. We’re planning a holiday to Tenerife, while for one of us it will go towards their new apartment.

“Our nan, Bernie, has been playing since the 1970s and only wants a new phone.”

The other winner, Martha Cousins, who has played in Jack Pott’s for over 10 years, also collected her cheque for €14,000 and described her complete shock on the night when she knew she had won.

“I couldn’t believe it when it when my number was called.

The other ladies called ‘check’ first, so the whole place erupted with celebrations. You couldn’t hear with all the commotion.”
