Lovely new festival to cause a sensation this weekend

A BRAND new summer festival bash is taking place this weekend in the salubrious surrounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

Lily Allen, Clean Bandit, Gossip, Kelis, Le Galaxie and a Jenny Greene will feature over the two days of Love Sensation, on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday 18.
Pop royalty will take to the main stage over the weekend that features a stellar line-up.
Horse Meat Disco will headline the Dance tent on Saturday while Honey Dijon will close off what will be undoubtedly a spectacular weekend on the Sunday.
Love Sensation promoter and founder of Mother, Cormac Cashman, said: “Love Sensation feels like a natural progression for us. We’ve wanted to run a music festival for years, something that caters to our community and focuses on inclusivity, fun, good music, good times and sound people.
“We’ve been lucky enough to have amazing success with our Pride Block Party, which is now in its ninth year, so 2019 feels right for us to grow even bigger and launch our very own music festival.”
And so, the brand-new shining beacon in the Irish festival scene was launched in March. Billed as a next generation two-day music and arts festival aimed at the LGBT+ community and their many friends, Love Sensation will be hosted from the main stage over the weekend by Panti Bliss.
Guests can expect tons of surprises from The George stage, a Mother Dance Tent you won’t want to leave and a host of RuPaul Drag Queens brought to you by Dublin drag legends ‘Dragged Up’ including Monet X Change, Naomi Smalls, Jujubee, Laganja Estranja & Sonique.
The weekend will also see performances from Daithí, Horse Meat Disco, Andy Butler (Hercules & Love Affair), Kelly-Anne Byrne, Soulé and a host of others.
Joining together thousands of the LGBT+ community with their allies, The Royal Hospital is going to sparkle for the most colourful festival Ireland will see this year.
Meanwhile, bringing the party to the Queer Quarter at Love Sensation, Dublin Vintage Factory will be pumping tunes, presenting queens, lip-syncing for their lives amd bringing it to the catwalk.
They will also be on the hunt for the most fashionable ‘kings & kweens’ at the festival, so party-goers are encouraged to get their looks ready.
