This year’s fantastic prizes are donations of €3,000, €2,000 and €1,000 respectively to the charity of choice of the first, second and third placed entries following the public vote.

So far, from all the entries received, Energia noted a number of 2018 Christmas decoration trends, including the generous use of silver to decorate Christmas trees and a significant volume of reindeer and Santa figures in particular.

Geoff Codd, Head of Marketing & Retail Development, Energia, said: “We have received amazing competition entries from all over Ireland and it was very difficult to shortlist just six homes.

“The effort and festive spirit evident in all entries is a mark of how popular the competition has become.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to enable such creativity while supporting local causes.”
