A NEW event for ladies promises a fashionable end to the Dublin Horse Show next week.

The inaugural ‘Great Lengths – The Mane Event’ will take place in House Dublin, Leeson Street, on August 9 from 6-8pm.

Judges on the evening will include top Irish milliner Edel Ramberg, Managing Director of Great Lengths, Joscelin McCourt and fashion editor and style queen, Elle Gordon.

Entrants to the competition will have the chance to win prizes in three categories for the best hat/head-piece, the best overall look and the best hairstyle.

To enter, ladies must simply register between 6-7pm in House.

At 7.30pm, winners will be announced by Great Lengths VIP and MC, Irish beauty Aoife Walsh. Guests can enjoy a specially created gin cocktail and a selection of canapés while the top three ladies on the night will also receive a Great Lengths goodie bag.

Edel Ramberg said she was delighted to be asked to come on board as a judge.

“I’m excited to see the style in Dublin and looking forward to the top winner on the night receiving one of my designs as her prize,” she declared.

Great Lengths MD, Joscelin McCourt, added: “We are thrilled to announce the inaugural Great Lengths – The Mane Event. Ladies’ days across the country are all about getting dressed up for the day and feeling amazing in yourself.

“Our campaign, ‘100% YOU’ is about making women feel 100 per cent confident in themselves. I think Great Lengths is the perfect brand to go hand-in-hand with ladies’ day style so what better way to celebrate women, fashion and millinery?”

In 2015, Great Lengths and the Little Princess Trust teamed up to make wishes come true: Great Lengths hair extensions wearers can now donate their used ex-tensions to the Little Princess Trust, for use in their real-hair wigs for children that have suffered hair loss.

The charity has been accepting donations from Great Lengths since 2015, after the collaboration was initiated by Great Lengths extensionist and co-founder of M Hair Nottingham, James Henderson, when he noticed that the high quality hair that was being removed from his clients could be re-used as hair donations.
