Winning advice from top Lady

Dublin People 06 Aug 2017
Dundrum Town Centre are the sponsors of Ladies’ Day at the Dublin Horse Show.

THE winner of last year’s Best Dressed Lady at The Dublin Horse Show has shared her top tips for those entering this year.

The keenly-awaited Dundrum Town Centre Ladies Day at the Dublin Horse Show takes place this week, on August 10.

Last year, Claire Murphy, from Co Kerry, scooped

?¬10,000 worth of vouchers for Dundrum Town Centre as she walked away as

‘The Best Dressed Lady’ on the day.

With the Dublin Horse Show taking place this week, and hundreds of ladies planning to flock to the RDS to showcase their style, Dundrum Town Centre asked Claire for her top tips for ladies those taking part and also how she spent her fantastic prize.

“Dress appropriately for the weather,

? Claire advised.

“The Dublin Horse Show may be on in August but there is no guarantee of sunshine and blue skies.

“My advice would be to wear an outfit that reflects who you are and one that suits your body shape. It’s a long fun-filled day so wear comfy shoes as you will be walking on grass as well as concrete.

Claire added:

“For anyone taking part in the fashion stakes, arrive early, have a glass of bubbly with your friends and have a great day out.

Speaking about her

?¬10,000 Dundrum Town Centre prize, Claire added:

“My prize for winning the

‘Best Dressed Lady’ at the Dublin Horse Show was a whopping

?¬10,000 for Dundrum Town Centre.

“My father has a saying

‘Don’t spend it all in the one shop’ so with that in mind, I spread the money around.

“One of the things on my bucket list is to go to New York to visit friends so my first port of call was to Cassidy Travel and I booked a trip the Big Apple for October.

“While I was there, I also purchased a voucher from Cassidy Travel and hope to go on a long-haul holiday in January with my husband.

“I took a trip to BT2, Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser, Clarks and Coast to mention just a few. I have a teenage daughter so we have had some great days out over the last year.

“On one occasion, we went to Inglot to get her make up done, followed by a trip to Mac in BT2, Calvin Klein, Hollister, and Urban Outfitters followed by a fabulous meal in Siam Thai.

Claire added:

“It really is the prize that keeps on giving as I’ve still some of my voucher left over for my next visit. Good luck to all the lovely ladies planning to enter this year.

This year’s Dublin Horse Show takes place at the RDS from August 9

?? 13. Over 1,500 horses and ponies will take part in 132 competitions and eight world-ranking international show jumping competitions.
