THE Irish fitness expert, author and entrepreneur, Pat Divilly, hosted an exclusive training session alongside Irish women’s rugby stars Nora Stapleton, Niamh Briggs and Sophie Spence at Sandymount Strand last week.

Attending the lunchtime training session was a group of over 40 lucky rugby fans who were put through their paces, as they gained valuable insights to help improve their overall agility, endurance and strength.

The session was a rare opportunity for people to train alongside the players from the Irish women’s rugby squad, who are only days away from entering training camp in preparation for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 commencing on August 9.

This was the fourth Lucozade Sport’s

‘Made to Move’ session, which are a series of high profile events sponsored by Lucozade Sport that are designed to champion healthy and more active lifestyles.

Philip Keenan, Lucozade Marketing Manager, said:

“We are delighted to announce that Lucozade Sport Low Cal is an official supplier to the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017.

“Having Nora, Niamh and Sophie join our

‘Made to Move’ session today was a fantastic opportunity for them to share their expert advice and knowledge in a fun outdoor environment, which is what Lucozade Sport is all about.

Pat Divilly led the group through the hour long session, while he shared his rugby inspired exercises and top nutritional tips.

“Today’s

‘Made to Move’ session was all about taking advantage of the summer months and getting our heart rates pumping,

? he explained.

“But just as a car runs best with a full tank of gas, your body needs the right kind of fuel from food and hydration.

“A balance of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins, and water helps your body absorb fluid more effectively, and that’s how Lucozade Sport’s Low Cal drink can help your body recover fast, so it’s ready for the next challenge.

?Â

Also speaking about the session, Irish rugby captain Niamh Briggs added:

“It’s fantastic to be able to get out and support Lucozade Sport’s

‘Made to Move’ sessions.

“I’m a passionate believer in the importance of leading an active, healthy lifestyle and understanding the benefits of physical activity.

“Today’s session was also a great way to kick start the partnership between Lucozade Sport Low Cal and the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017.
