MIRIAM O’Callaghan and Alan Hughes got together with some little heroes last week for the launch of the LauraLynn Ball on Saturday, May 6.

The gala evening will take place in the Intercontinental Hotel in Ballsbridge to raise much needed funds for the specialist palliative care LauraLynn provides to children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

With a focus on enhancing quality of life, LauraLynn provides support from diagnosis, to end of life, and throughout bereavement with a range of practical, emotional and medical care for the whole family.

The LauraLynn Heroes Ball will be a memorable evening with Miriam acting as MC, music by crowd-rousing band Perfect Day and The Dionnes and an auction presided by Allsop’s Robert Hoban with some jaw-dropping items up for grabs.

“I’m delighted to be MC for LauraLynn’s Heroes Ball,” Miriam said.

“It’s a great excuse to put on a nice guna, have a night on the town and do it all for a wonderful cause.

“I have been a patron of LauraLynn from the very start and was there even before it was built, so it has a very special place in my heart. They really make a difference to the lives of seriously ill children and their families.

“I’m urging people to put the date in the diary for what will be a tremendous night out.”

Tickets are priced individually at €150 each or €2,000 per corporate table of 10.

Ticket price includes drinks reception, five-star gala dinner with wine, entertainment throughout the night and an after-party. Tickets are available from www.lauralynn.ie
