Historic church marks 170th anniversary
Dublin People 17 Sep 2016
St AUDOEN’S Church in High Street is celebrating three significant historical events this year.

In September it marked its 170th anniversary of dedication.
And to mark the 10th anniversary of the dedication of St Audoen’s Church to the Polish community in Dublin a special anniversary concert is being organised. The choir will be drawn from St Audoen’s Church and other Polish Chaplaincies under the baton of Dorota Jozefiak and will perform a concert of Polish medieval and modern sacred music on September 25.
The concert will be preceded at 6pm with a thanksgiving mass with Archbishop Diarmuid Martin.
Finally a historic conference on the connections between the Celtic Christian missions in Europe and the beginnings of Christianity in Poland 1,050 years ago will take place in Glendalough on October 15.
