Garda appeal after woman’s body discovered in Sandycove

GARDAÍ are seeking the public’s help in trying to identify a woman whose body was discovered on the rocks at Scotsman’s Bay, Sandycove, Dublin. 

The woman’s body was discovered yesterday morning, March 24, and postmortem results show that she had drowned. 

She is described as 50 to 60 years of age, between 5’4’’ to 5’6’’, with red hair, wearing a purple coat, light blue fleece, a red shirt, dark purple jeans, navy socks and brown size 40 boots. Her fingernails where painted purple.

Gardaí do not believe the body was in the water for a long period.
