DREAMING BIG: Conor McGregor is fronting the Budweiser campaign

“BE YOUR own inspiration, a beacon of self-belief. Keep proving others wrong. If your dream doesn’t scare you then it’s not big enough.”

Crumlin legend Conor McGregor may have been defeated by Nate Diaz in Las Vegas earlier this month, but he has picked himself up and is encouraging others to follow their passion in life.

The UFC fighter is the star of the ‘Budweiser Dream Big’ competition, which gives one lucky winner and their ‘best bud’ the chance to make their dream a reality in America with a prize fund of €50,000.

The idea is to give someone a once in a lifetime opportunity to chase their dream and make it come true. It can range from sports to entertainment, from travel to technology.

Speaking at the launch of the competition, the MMA fighter stated how people should see their dreams.

“I believe it’s very important not just to have dreams, but to recognise what your dream is and what you are passionate about,” said McGregor. “And never give up on your dreams.”

He also had some advice for anyone wanting to take part.

“To those looking to win this competition, show up, speak passionately about where you want to go, who you want to meet, and the person with the most passion and dedication to their craft will shine through.”

The competition is open to anyone over 18. Those interested in applying can share their dream at www.BudDreamBig.ie before midnight, April 24.

The winner will be revealed by Conor McGregor on American Independence Day, July 4, and they will jet off to the States to meet the experts who can help bring their dream to life.
