Tallaght man pleads guilty to attempted robbery of post office

A MAN has pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to the attempted robbery of a post office in Tallaght and possession of a firearm last year.

Ian Quinn (34), of St Aongus Park, Tallaght, entered a guilty plea to attempted robbery of Kilnamanagh Post Office, Tallaght, on June 6, 2015 and to possession of a Crossman C11 firearm at his home on October 1, 2015.

Judge Melanie Greally remanded Quinn in continuing custody until March 8 next when evidence will be heard.
