Gardaí investigate reports of alleged sexual assaults in Shankill

GARDAÍ are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a number of reports of alleged sexual assaults on females which occurred in the Shankill area of the Southside area since December.

The incidents occurred during the hours of darkness, from 4.30pm to 10pm. In each case a lone male approached a lone female and an alleged assault took place.

Gardaí in Shankill have set up an incident room to investigate the reports.

A number of statements have been taken and numerous lines of enquiry are currently being conducted, together with CCTV and house to house calls.
