Gardaí seek public’s help after Tallaght shooting incident

GARDAÍ are investigating a shooting incident in the Parkhill West area of Tallaght yesterday, January 18.

Shots were fired from a Silver VW Passat with an unknown number of occupants at a 06-D blue Mazda 3 containing two men.

The driver of the vehicle sustained gunshot injuries but managed to drive to Tallaght Hospital. His injuries are described as serious but not life threatening. The passenger of the Madza was unharmed.

The VW Passat was discovered a short time later partially burnt out at Benmadigan Road, Drimnagh.  

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Parkhill West area of Tallaght between 8.15pm and 8.45pm to contact Tallaght Garda Station. Any person who may have seen the 00-D-92403 silver VW Passat, either at Parkhill West, Tallaght, or at Benmadigan Road, Drimnagh, is asked to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01-6666000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111.
