Dublins most haunted destination

The Hellfire Club in the Dublin Mountains has made the top three in Hotels.com’s most haunted destinations in Ireland.

Located on Montpelier Hill, the Hellfire Club has a dark and dastardly history and was once home to a satanic club who are thought to have offered animal sacrifices to the devil.

The best-known supernatural guest to the Hellfire Club is said to be Satan himself.

Legend has it that club members would set a place at the table for the Devil and one night he appeared.

The Hellfire Club burned down mysteriously in 1740 and is now a mere shell but ghosts are still known to roam the ruins and surrounding forests.
