Meeting to call for reopening of Stepasides Garda Station

Deputy Shane Ross (Ind) and Independent councillor Kevin Daly are hosting a public meeting calling for the reopening of Stepaside Garda Station on Monday, November 2.

 The President of the Garda Representative Association (GRA), Dermot O’Brien, will speak on the lack of resources in the force, the need for Garda stations to be reopened nationwide and the increase in crime following the closure of stations.

Local residents will also be encouraged to discuss the impact the closure has had on the community.

Both politicians say they hope a strong turnout at the meeting that will be held at 7.30pm in De La Salle Palmerston RFC, Kilternan, will show the Government that the residents of Stepaside and surrounding area have not given up on their local Garda station.
