AS PART of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the West Dublin area, gardaí attached to the District Drugs Unit in Ronanstown have seized cocaine with an estimated value of €400,000, pending analysis.
The seizure was made following the planned search of a premises in the Moorefield area of Clondalkin. One man, aged 20, was arrested at scene and is currently detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
A Garda spokesperson said: “These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities.
“Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.”
