THE Minister for Communications Alex White cut the tape to officially open An Post’s new post office at the Dundrum Village Centre in Dublin 14 recently.

The new office has opened in a new location and boasts a greatly improved offering for customers in terms of facilities, counter space and parking.

Open from 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday and from 9am – 1pm each Saturday, Dundrum Post Office offers the full range of An Post postal, financial and communications products and services.

The new Dundrum office, with Postmistress Maureen Masterson at the helm, is one of a number of post offices in the Dublin area that have been opened, relocated or refurbished this year.

In the greater Dublin area, since the beginning of last year, An Post has opened a brand new office in Ballyowen in Lucan and refurbished offices in Clondalkin, Crumlin, Drimnagh, Booterstown,  Edenmore and Balbriggan post offices.

The opening of the Dundrum office is part of an ongoing post office development programme which includes new products and services and more office relocations to better serve customers. In 2014 almost 50 post offices were upgraded or opened in new locations. So far this year more than 20 post offices have been improved with more coming on stream before year’s end.
