HUNDREDS of Bruce Springsteen fans and art collectors have applied for free tickets to an exhibition in Dublin next week for a chance to meet the man who has been responsible for photographing Springsteen and his band for the last 16 years.

Off Beat Lounge are bringing a collection of limited edition Bruce Springsteen photography by his tour photographer, Jo Lopez, to Dublin for a one off evening exhibition on Thursday, October 15. This will be the first exhibition of his Springsteen collection ever to tour the UK and Ireland.

The event is being hosted at the Harley Davidson showroom on the Red Cow Retail Centre, Ballymount. It will give collectors and Springsteen fans the chance to view ‘The Man Behind the Man’ exhibition – 12 limited edition prints of Bruce in concerts around the world.

The exhibition was given its name after legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemens witnessed Jo at work. Seeing him poised a few feet behind Bruce at gigs around the world, trying to capture his every move, Clarence aptly labelled Jo ‘the Man Behind the Man.’

As well as touring with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Jo Lopez has also photographed rock legends such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blondie and Black Sabbath. He was the photographer behind the Springsteen image that’s considered to be one of Rolling Stone magazine’s most iconic cover photos in its 40 year history.

These hugely sought after, rare and highly collectable Bruce Springsteen prints are limited to just 100 copies per image, in a variety of size options, and all signed by Jo Lopez himself. It’s the first time Jo has exhibited his Springsteen work in an exhibition tour of this type, which is why it’s drawing fans from across Europe.

Off Beat Lounge are also proud to be supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust with a donation being made to the charity from the sale of each print.

Anyone wishing to attend the exhibition night should email info@offbeatlounge.co.uk to request a place on the complimentary guest list. There is no charge for entrance tickets, although places must be pre-booked.
