Disruption to water services in Finglas and Glasnevin planned
Dublin People 21 Jun 2024Uisce Éireann is carrying out essential works on a key distribution main serving the Finglas & Glasnevin areas this Sunday 23 June from 9am to 3pm.
Every effort to minimise disruption to water supply will be put in place. However, customers in the Finglas and Glasnevin areas may be affected by low pressure or periods of no water while these works are undertaken.
In advance of the works which are being carried out on a Sunday to minimise disruption Uisce Éireann’s Joe O Reilly reassured local homes and businesses “every effort has been made to reduce the impact these necessary works may cause to the local community and to return normal water supplies as quickly as possible.”
“After the works ere completed, there may be some increased short-term instances of discoloured water, which may continue in isolated areas for up to 48 hours. We advise customers not to drink discoloured water. In the event of discolouration, running the tap for several minutes will usually restore water to a clear colour. If the issue persists, we encourage customers to contact us directly. The customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.””
Uisce Éireann’s customer care team is available 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on X @IWCare with any queries.
