Man arrested and cannabis seized by Revenue at Dublin Airport

Gardaí say they have arrested a male aged in his late teens following a €330,000 cannabis seizure made by Revenue officers at Dublin Airport yesterday.

Approximately 16.5 kg of herbal cannabis was discovered when Revenue officers searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight.

The male (late teens) was arrested and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in Dublin.

He has since been charged and appeared before the CCJ Dublin this morning, Monday, March 11.

Investigations are ongoing.
