Arrest and seizure of €100,800 worth of suspected drugs and €1,600 cash in Finglas

Gardaí say they seized approximately €100,800 of combined drugs, €1,600 in cash and arrested one man during an Operation Tara search that took place in Finglas yesterday. 

A Garda spokesperson said:

“Finglas Gardaí conducted a search in Finglas, Dublin 11, at approximately 11.15pm.

“Drugs suspected to be cannabis herb, valued at €75,600 and cocaine, valued at €25,200 were seized along with €1,600 in cash.

“A male (18) was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday 26th September 2023, as part of this investigation, and is currently detained at a Garda Station in north Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

“All of the suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
