Revenue seizes €178,000 worth of cannabis at Dublin Airport
Gary Ibbotson 22 Dec 2022Revenue officers at Dublin Airport seized cannabis worth an estimated €178,000 yesterday.
In a statement, a Revenue spokesperson said: “Yesterday, as a result of routine operations and with the assistance of detector dog Enzo, Revenue officers seized 8.9kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €178,000, at Dublin Airport.
“The illegal drugs were discovered concealed in parcels described as ‘Vehicle Accessories and Kitchen Accessories’, that had arrived in air cargo consignments from the United States and were destined for addresses in Dublin.”
Investigations are ongoing.
This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs.
