Stoneybatter Festival returns in-person this month

The Stoneybatter Festival returns this month to the northside village after a two year hiatus.

Running between Friday, June 17 and Sunday, June 19, organisers of the festival, Stoneybatter Pride of Place say that there are over 100 events planned for the weekend.

These events will encompass “music and entertainment, food and drink, arts, culture and heritage, family fun, sport and the environment with a strong emphasis on celebrating the community in Dublin 7,” the say.

The Stoneybatter Festival first began in 2017 after the village won ‘Best Urban Heritage Village in Ireland 2016.’

“The entire community came on board with all the businesses participating and residents taking part in an extensive range of events and activities.

“During Covid-19, our endeavours continued with virtual, socially distanced festivals were held in 2020 and 2021,” organisers say.
