Lidl Ireland have donated €6000 to the newly refurbished kitchen in St. Joseph’s Senior National School in Ballymun as well as donating fresh food from the local Ballymun store for the students and their families to enjoy.

Lidl say this is in line with community focused objectives under its “A Better Tomorrow” corporate social responsibility programme.

The new kitchen will be used as a parent and community hub as well as a nurture room for the children where they will receive their morning breakfast and learn important life skills such as how to cook a nutritious meal.

Owen Keogh, Head of CSR For Lidl Ireland, said:

“Lidl strives to support the communities we serve and because of this, we are delighted to be able to donate to such a worthy facility such as St. Joseph’s Senior National School’s kitchen.

“The positive impact this service will have on the community is indispensable and we couldn’t be more proud to help facilitate such a good cause.”
