Dublin kayaker runs entire 125km length of Liffey

Tom’s adventure began at Sally Gap

On November 20, Dubliner Tom Dunphy achieved the extremely rare feat of kayaking the full length of the Liffey, from its source in Sally Gap to where it meets the sea at Poolbeg – a staggering  distance of 125km!

On his YouTube channel, Tom said: It was a spectacular way to see this beautiful river and countryside as it changes along its course and to see the effects that development and people have had on it."

The daunting challenge took him 16 hours and 34 minutes to complete.
