CELEBRATIONS were in the air recently when The Helix was announced as ‘Best Purpose Built Venue’ at the 2019 Event Industry Awards at Citywest Hotel.

Recognising excellence in the conference and events industry in Ireland and encompassing areas such as major live events, corporate events, conferences, AV, catering and design, the gala event was attended by over 500 industry professionals.
With a judging panel made up of industry leaders and peer experts, over 120 teams and individuals were shortlisted across the 27 categories, reflecting every aspect of world class event execution.
Acknowledging excellence and showcasing the highest standards in Ireland’s event industry, The Helix scooped the ‘Best Purpose Built Venue’ award ahead of an array of nominees including the Aviva Stadium, Guinness Storehouse and the RDS.
General Manager of The Helix, Michael Brady, expressed his delight with the award.
“We strive to be the best in our field and it’s a fantastic acknowledgement to win amongst companies and teams who are reaching the highest standards in the industry,” he said.
“I would like to thank the wider DCU community for its continuing support of the venue and to congratulate and thank the entire staff at The Helix who have been so instrumental in embracing and driving new initiatives which have in no small way led to the winning of this very important and significant award.”
The Helix is a unique conference and event venue situated on the campus of Dublin City University and has been the venue of choice for international performing artists, global conferences and many local businesses since it first opened its doors in 2002.
With a dedicated events team, The Helix caters for all types of events including conferences, gala dinners, launches to film shoots, business meetings, AGMS and exhibitions.
