A HUGE new €10m brewery is set to open on the Northside later this year.

The Dublin Beer Factory will be located on a 1,000 sq mt site in the Parnell Centre on Parnell Street near the Rotunda, the Jervis Centre and O’Connell Street.

The brewery development is the brainchild of vastly experienced pals Mark Schneider and Geoff Waddell and they plan to provide a unique experience for both local and visiting beer-lovers in the factory.

Waddell is a long standing Dublin business owner with over 25 years experience in the hospitably industry. He is current owner/partner of the successful Woolshed Sports Baa & Grill, which is located close to the brewery on Parnell Street.

Schneider, has worked with high profile companies such as Heineken in the Netherlands, and has independently developed successful beers that have been enjoyed all around the world.

The duo will be brewing high quality beer with no additives and combining traditional brewing with the latest modern equipment and technology.

It’s hoped to have the brewery up to full capacity within three years.

The Dublin Beer Factory will also have an inventive visitor centre, that will include a gantry tour overlooking the brewery enabling visitors to walk round and look at the fascinating art of brewing.

The visitor centre will also host a taproom, which will serve Dublin Beer Factory brews crafted on site, with a selection of up to ten different kinds of ales and stouts.

The centre will also include gift shop selling uniquely branded gifts and clothing and an information centre.

Currently the Dublin Beer Factory flagship lager, Dublin Blue, is being brewed in Dundalk, Co Louth, whilst waiting the brewery development to be completed.
