A NEW health food convenience store has opened in Smithfield.

Freshly Chopped Smithfield 2.0 is a new flagship store and company CEO, Brian Lee, says it has several unique features including a new healthy breakfast menu, a dinner menu with a range of grilled protein boards, and a Fairtrade coffee dock.

The new outlet has a completely new look and feel, with a graffiti wall, Wi-Fi, leather couches and charging points throughout the store.

The store in Smithfield Square had created 30 new jobs and Lee says the local Freshly Chopped team is excited about the opening.

“Smithfield is the perfect location to unveil our unique, new vision as it is an area that is quickly becoming a new centre for creativity and innovation in Dublin, a hub for creative people from artists to writers and chefs,” he said.

“We’re thrilled that Chopped 2.0 will be at the centre of this thriving community.

“Our motto here is ‘Eat. Work. Chill’ and our team has been busy working on a host of new concepts to bring this to life, from the graffiti on the walls to the banked seating at the back.

“We have hired award winning baristas to serve the highest quality Fairtrade organic coffee, superfood lattes, herbal teas and bulletproof coffee.

“The new Smithfield outlet is a first of its kind for Freshly Chopped, but we may look to expand the concept to other locations around the country as we continue our expansion.”

Founded in 2012 by Dublin entrepreneurs Brian Lee and Andy Chen, Freshly Chopped was developed to meet the needs of the growing number of consumers looking for healthy, delicious, fresh meals.

The company hopes to expand further in 2018.
