A GLOBAL provider of software products has announced 100 new jobs at its Dublin 15 based Irish operation.

Guidewire already employs almost 300 staff at Blanchardstown Corporate Park, which is its largest office outside the US.

The company is aiming to fill about 40 roles by the end of August and plans to increase staff by at least 100 by the end of 2019.

Guidewire already increased staff in Blanchardstown by almost 50 percent between December 2015 and December 2017.

Guidewire has also announced two senior promotions at the Dublin office. Dan Lonborg was promoted to Vice President, Guidewire InsuranceSuite Development (Guidewire’s core system suite), and non-US product content.

This was the first VP appointment for Guidewire in Ireland. Niall Lalor was also promoted to Country Manager Ireland, in addition to his role of Practice Director for the Global Services Centre.

Sandia Ren, Vice President, Professional Services, said continued recruitment to both professional services and development was vital for Guidewire.

“We have seen growth of 20 percent in our Dublin professional services team since September 2017 alone, and plan to continue on this trajectory through to the summer.

“This allows us to extend expertise in a range of practices, including Digital and Cloud.”

Ali Kheirolomoom, Chief Product Officer, Guidewire, said the outstanding quality of work produced by Dublin staff reinforced the importance of the company’s decision to increase investment in Ireland.

“I am grateful to the Dublin team for their commitment to our business, and our goal of providing a platform for the global general insurance industry,” he added. “These senior appointments recognise the value of our Dublin base.”

An Taoiseach and Dublin West TD, Leo Varadkar, welcomed the announcement by Guidewire.

“These 100 extra jobs will mean there are more than 400 people working at Guidewire’s Irish base in Blanchardstown,” he added.

“The company has grown rapidly since it was set up in 2011, and the Blanchardstown base provides software support to customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

“I’m delighted that Blanchardstown has played such an important role in the company’s development. I also congratulate them on the promotion of two staff in its Irish office to senior positions.”

The Guidewire office in Dublin was recently named as one of the top ten 'Best Large Workplaces in Ireland', in the large company category, by the Great Places to Work organisation.
