Gardaí seek owners of stolen tools

Dublin People 02 Sep 2017
The tools were seized at a checkpoint in Cloghran.

GARDAI in Ballymun are trying to trace the owners of property they recovered earlier in the summer.

In May gardai conducting a checkpoint on Stockhole Lane, Cloghran, County Dublin, stopped a van containing a large amount of new and second hand power tools.

The tools, with an approximate value of up to €26,000, were seized.

Many of the tools are specialised items that would only be used by car or heavy goods mechanics and they may have been taken from commercial garages.

It’s believed some of the tools may have been taken in the UK and Northern Ireland.

If you think you may own some of the property and wish to arrange to view it, email ballymun_ds@garda.ie or contact the gardai in Ballymun on 01-6664493.

Proof of ownership will be required for anybody claiming the equipment.
