Lidl stars of the future
Dublin People 22 Jul 2017THE GAA stars of tomorrow displayed their talent at St Brigid’s, Castleknock, earlier this month.
The young girls aged 8-12 were taking part in a
‘Lidl Future Stars’ event hosted by a panel of LGFA county players including Sarah Goldrick and Brid Stack.
They organised various skill sessions while also teaching the players, in a fun way, about the key benefits of sport and nutrition.
Parents and guardians were also invited to attend and relax with some healthy refreshments in the purpose built pitch-side café and listen to insights from Lidl Full Shop ambassador Caitriona Redmond and Tom Dalton on nutrition, sport and wellness.Â
Lidl are supporters of Ladies football and says it wants players to have the best possible chance at reaching their full potential.
Lidl Managing Director, John Paul Scally, explained the chain’s involvement with ladies GAA.
“We’re excited about the
‘Lidl Future Stars’ activation as it brings to life our campaign promise of serious support,
? he said.
“Keeping girls involved in playing team sports has benefits far beyond the football field and we look forward, through initiatives such as
‘Lidl Future Stars’, to continue working closely with our partners in the association.
