TV and radio presenter, Angela Scanlon, officially opened the new Homesense store in Blanchardstown, last week.

TV AND radio presenter, Angela Scanlon, was in Blanchardstown last week to officially open Ireland’s first dedicated TK Maxx Home outlet.

Homesense at Westend Shopping Park marks the global retail giant’s introduction of a brand new dedicated home chain to Ireland and it promises to offer branded and unique homeware for less.

The new store is offering up to 60 per cent off its product range that includes furniture, lighting, branded kitchenware, quality bedding, bathroom pieces and gifts.

TV presenter Angela Scanlon, welcomed crowds of excited shoppers at last week’s launch.

“I’m a fiend for interior design,” she confessed. “It’s an obsession that’s getting steadily more intense!

“I wake myself up at night thinking about cushions and mismatched crockery. I now spend more on vases than on jumpers (and you know how much I love a good jumper!)

“TK Maxx has always been a favourite, somewhere I love to rummage to unearth the best bits for home, so a whole store dedicated to unique and designer homeware is something that I can definitely get excited about.”

Homesense will open a second store in The Capitol development on Grand Parade in Cork this week and the two stores combined will create more than 60 new jobs.

Deborah Dolce, Group Brand and Marketing Director, TJX Europe, said the company was excited with the latest addition to the TK Maxx family in Ireland.

“Since we announced the arrival of our second chain, the response from around the country has been wonderful and overwhelming,” she added.

“Homesense is quite different to any other home store in the market, and we are thrilled that Irish customers are ready to welcome our concept of a dedicated homeware and giftware destination, packed with unique gems and top brands for less.”
