Garden art concept brightens up Dublin city
Dublin People 06 May 2017
THE beauty of Dublin is being celebrated with an innovative art installation collaboration between the Botanic Gardens, a leading visual artist and the capital’s most iconic department store.
‘The City is My Garden’ concept was rolled out last week and has been devised by Arnotts Head of Creative, Damien Byrne, with a view to encouraging people to slow down and appreciate both art and nature in a different environment.
The concept, which runs until mid June, is being brought to life in store, in Arnotts Henry Street windows and in partnership with Maser, one of Ireland’s leading visual artists working in urban spaces.
Maser has also created a unique graffiti installation on a building beside Arnotts and it’s the first outdoor representation of his latest ‘botanical’ works.
Through window installations, Arnotts will create an urban garden and educate customers on all aspects of the National Botanic Gardens, including sustainability facts, whilst incorporating floral fashion elements to create an outstanding visual display.
