Witnesses sought after rush hour stabbing in Drumcondra

GARDAÍ at Mountjoy in Dublin are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault which occurred on Lower Drumcondra Road between 5pm and 5.30pm yesterday evening (Tuesday, January 3).

A woman in her 30s received a number of stab wounds when she was attacked by another female at the above location. The injured person was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment.

Investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses. They are particularly appealing to anybody who was in the vicinity of Drumcondra Road Lower, between Clonliffe Road and the Archbishop’s House, between 5pm and 5.30pm yesterday to contact the incident room at Mountjoy Garda Station on 01-666 8600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
