Man (50) arrested after drugs seized in north inner city

GARDAÍ arrested a man and seized a quantity of cocaine and cannabis yesterday evening.

As part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the north inner city, the Store Street Garda Divisional Drugs Unit searched a property in Blessington Street, Dublin 7.

During the course of the search, a quantity of cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of over €100,000 was seized.

A 50-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation and is currently detained at Store St Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Investigations are continuing.
