IKEA has teamed up with St Joseph’s Junior School in Ballymun to develop challenging learning experiences for young pupils.

St Joseph’s Aistear programme supports learning through play and the Ballymun based Swedish retail giant has donated toys and products worth €5,000 to help the local school.

The pupils aged up to six will now enjoy exploring and playing with toys such as the DUKTIG kitchen and the LILLABO train set that will encourage them to grow and develop learning skills.

“At IKEA we want to create a better life for people and communities so we’re delighted to support our neighbour here in Ballymun, St Joseph’s Junior School,” said Marsha Smith, IKEA Ireland Market Manager and Ballymun Store Manager.

“Over 50 per cent of people living in our locality live with children and it’s important that we support their growth and development through play and learning.”

The children are now enjoying the benefit of the new products.
