IT HASN’T been the best of seasons for Bohemian FC for far this year with goals hard to come by, and a 0-4 trashing at home to arch rivals, Shamrock Rovers.

However, it’s not all doom and gloom, thanks to a much-needed 2-0 FAI Cup win over Galway United that ended a seven game scoreless run and a surprise 5-1 rout of St Patrick’s Athletic in the following league game.
An away win at Wexford Youths last Friday has given fans hope for the second half of the season but ironically, one of the club’s shining lights was missing for the St Pat’s and Wexford matches having been called up for international duty – something that rarely happens League of Ireland players.
Ayman Ben Mohamed has been a revelation on the wing for Bohs since signing for the Northsiders from Longford last November. A wave of expectation ripples through the crowd anytime he’s on the ball and it didn’t take long for the Bohs fans to come up with a catchy chant to the tune of Human League hit, ‘Don’t You Want Me Baby’.
Ben Mohamed ‘baby’ is full of tricks, leaving experienced players in his wake with clever twists and turns as he bombs down the wing. Relatively small in stature, he’s also capable of muscling bigger men off the ball and making his presence felt when required.
Progression for talented League of Ireland players usually comes with a move to England, so it was something of a surprise that the Tunisian FA were first to recognise Ben Mohamed’s potential.
