Man in serious condition after city shooting this morning

GARDAÍ at Mountjoy in Dublin are investigating a shooting incident which occurred at Avondale House Flats on North Cumberland Street, Dublin 1, at approximately 10am this morning.

A man has been seriously injured following the shooting. He has been removed to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital.

The scene is sealed off and a technical examination of the area is expected to take place.
