Gardaí appeal for witnesses after man killed by van in Finglas

GARDAÍ are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the Finglas Road, Dublin 11 last night at approximately 11.15pm.

A male pedestrian, aged in his mid 40s, was fatally injured when he was stuck by a van. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to Dublin City Morgue, Marino, for a postmortem.
The inbound carriageway of the Finglas Road, close to the Tolka Valley Road junction, was closed for a period of time to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. It has since reopened.
