ERIN’S Isle in Finglas has received a welcome boost in the form of a new deal with a major sponsor.

Affidea, Ireland’s leading independent diagnostic imaging provider, formerly known as Euromedic, will be backing the GAA club under the new three-year agreement.

The deal was announced at a launch event on March 14, with a presentation of jerseys to the club’s senior football, hurling, camogie and ladies football teams.

The club, which was formed in 1917, will celebrate its centenary next year, so the agreement comes at an important time in Erin’s Isle history.

“We would like to thank Affidea for coming on board as a major sponsor of our senior teams,” said chairperson of the club’s minor and adult players’ section, Mel Farrell.

“We are very proud of our club, which is not only home to a team of highly competitive young GAA players, but also a strong local community, and we look forward to working closely with Affidea over the coming years.”

CEO of Affidea, Tom Finn, said his company was delighted to support the club, which he described as “an important part of the local community in Finglas”. “The unique identity of Erin’s Isle GAA club provides an excellent fit for Affidea and we look forward to supporting this GAA community in the years ahead,” he added.

“On behalf of the Affidea team, I wish the club the best of luck in the season ahead.”

Affidea Ireland has three multi-modality scanning centres in Dublin at Santry, Dundrum and Dublin City Centre. They serve as primary care diagnostic scanning facilities, offering medical scans such as MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray and DXA.

The company has recently rebranded from Euromedic, to keep a uniform identity across Europe, and to aid European growth and support the organisation’s aggressive global expansion plans.

Affidea entered the Irish market in March 2007 through the acquisition of MRI Ireland. Over the past eight years, six further locations have been added to the network in Ireland.
