Gardaí seek witnesses to fatal collision

GARDAÍ in Blanchardstown have renewed their appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Clonsilla, Dublin 15, on January 3.
The accident happened at approximately 2.40am when two female pedestrians (40s) were seriously injured after being struck by a car on Hartstown Road.
Both were taken by ambulance to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown. One of the women was later pronounced dead while the second remains in a serious condition in hospital.
The occupants of the car, three males aged in their 20s, were uninjured in the collision.
Gardaí are seeking to speak with any witnesses – pedestrians, motorists, taxi drivers or persons travelling in taxis – who were in the vicinity of the Topaz garage and convenience store on Hartstown Road on January 3 between 2.30am and 2.40am.
Gardaí are also looking to identify the driver of a taxi who passed the scene at the time of the collision.
