All prior warnings and Do Not Swim Prohibitions removed from Fingal beaches

Following consultation with the HSE Fingal County Council will today remove prohibition (Do not Swim) notices from the following beaches; Balbriggan, Loughshinny, Rush North, Malahide, Portmarnock and Claremont and the Prior Warning (Advise Not to Swim) notices from the following beaches; Skerries, Rush South, Portrane, Donabate and Sutton.

In Bathing Water Sample Analysis for all Fingal Beaches from samples taken last Friday, July 25, the results from all beaches met the “Excellent” classification standard for Bathing Waters.

Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at www.beaches.ie or by checking the notice board at the entrance to each beach.
