Padraig Conlon 23 Jul 2025
Prohibition notices have been erected at Front Strand, Balbriggan & Claremont Beach, Howth today due to elevated bacterial results in the seawater at both beaches.
The incident is expected to last 7 days.
In a statement, Fingal county Council said:
“Claremont Beach and Front Strand Beach will remain open, but beach users are asked to respect the ‘Do Not Swim’ notice as it has been put in place to ensure that the health of bathers is not compromised.
