Book of Condolence for Garda Flatley

A Book of Condolence has been opened for members of the public who wish to express their condolences to the family of Garda Kevin Flatley who was killed yesterday following a terrible incident on the R132 at Lanestown.

The Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Brian McDonagh said: “I am shocked and saddened by the death of Garda Flatley this afternoon. I want to extend my sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues on their tragic loss.”

Chief Executive of Fingal County Council, AnnMarie Farrelly, said: “I am deeply saddened to hear about the tragic loss of Garda Flatley earlier today.

“I wish to extend my deepest, heartfelt sympathies to his family, friends and Gardai colleagues who have lost one of their own whilst in the line of duty.”

The Book of Condolence will be available at the reception desks of County Hall, Swords and Civic Offices, Blanchardstown.
