New school building for Mount Temple Comprehensive School
Dublin People 08 Jan 2025Fianna Fáil TD for Dublin Bay North, Tom Brabazon has welcomed the news of a new building for Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Clontarf.
Deputy Brabazon has said he is delighted by the news of the new building for Mount Temple, and it is a progressive step forward.
“I am delighted to be informed by the Department of Education about the new building for Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Clontarf.
“The project will be for the construction of a new 3 storey 1000 pupil post primary school building for Mount Temple. The development will include the demolition of six existing buildings on site (non-protected structures); 5 of which are currently in use by the school. All of these will be demolished on a phased basis to accommodate the development.
He added: “The next step for the project is the authorisation approved to issue the Letter of Acceptance to the successful contractor so that construction can now proceed.
Deputy Brabazon has said although this is great news for the area, and much needed, there is still more to achieve in schools across the constituency.
“I am delighted with this investment in this particular school and look forward to seeing continued investment in our schools across the Dublin Bay North Constituency.
“This is only a small part of what is needed in terms of educational investment in our area. I believe there is much more needed, and I will be working assiduously with the Minister to ensure the maximum investment is delivered for the children and students in Dublin Bay North.”
