Spooktacular success at Let’s Play Rush Halloween event

The Let’s Play Rush Halloween extravaganza transformed Kenure Woods into a magical setting filled with Halloween spirit and family-friendly entertainment.

The event featured live music and an array of activities, including an eerie pumpkin hunt, spooky dance performances, a graveyard of dead things and spooky storytelling sessions.

The Let’s Play Rush team, comprised of dedicated members from Rush Tidy Towns, Rush Community Council, 38th Rush Scout Group, representatives from Fingal County Council, and local councilors, organized a frightfully fun Halloween event on Sunday, October 27th, at Kenure Woods in Rush.

The event, a collaborative effort from various community groups, saw an impressive turnout (despite the rain) who enjoyed a host of activities, games, and thrilling dance performances for the entire family.

Throughout the afternoon, families reveled in the festivities, enjoying carnival games, face painting and the ambiance was electric, filled with laughter, excitement, and a sense of community spirit.

Dance performances by talented local groups added to the entertainment, showcasing the creativity and talent within Rush.

The spectacular routines captivated the audience and added to the festive atmosphere.

The event’s success was further enhanced by the presence of Fingal’s esteemed Mayor, Brian Mc Donagh, who joined the celebration and interacted with attendees, the mayor, expressed his delight, saying, “The Let’s Play Rush Halloween event is a great example of what community groups working in collaboration can achieve.

“The turnout is a testament to the dedication and hard work of all involved. These events add to the vibrancy of Rush and the organisers are a credit to the community.”

Brendan O’Reilly, Chairperson of Rush Tidy Towns & member of Let’s Play Rush Team commended the community’s support and involvement, and the commitment of the volunteers stating, “We are thrilled to see so many people from the area attend.

“This was joint effort, and the success of this event reflects the commitment of everyone involved.

“We’re grateful for the support of Fingal County Council, Creative Ireland and all the attendees who made this Halloween celebration a memorable one.”

The Let’s Play Rush team extends their gratitude to all who attended, contributed to, and supported the Halloween event, making it a resounding success.
