There were cheers and celebrations in the Dublin 3 area today as EuroSpar Fairview on Annesley Bridge Road at Fairview Corner was revealed as the selling location of Saturday’s winning Lotto jackpot ticket worth €3,796,062.

Lil Courtney, who has owned the store with Business Partner Barry Fay since 2005, was thrilled to get the call from the National Lottery confirming the win.

“It’s been a big weekend all round!” she said.

“The win is hugely life-changing for the winner themselves but this is also the biggest prize that we have ever sold so it’s a very exciting time for the store.

“We have lots of locals who come into us regularly so it would be great to think that someone in the area may have had a life-changing win but of course, it could be anyone!

“We are delighted for the winner and hope they’re already enjoying the buzz of their great news.

“We have a team of over 30 people working here in store and we’re all just over the moon.

“Wins like this don’t happen every day so we are all enjoying the celebrations and I imagine the excitement will last quite some time!”
