A Daily Million player on the Northside became the 10th Daily Million top prize winner of 2023 in Saturday afternoon’s 2pm draw.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at the Centra store at the Texaco service station on the Malahide Road in Dublin 17.

Store manager Gierdre Argustiene was delighted when she heard the news: “There has been a lot of excitement in the store today between the media attention and word spreading about the win.

“All of the staff here were thrilled when they heard and now the customers are joining in the buzz with all of the action going on in here today.

“This is the biggest prize that this store has had so we are keeping our fingers crossed that the winner checks their ticket soon and realizes they are now a millionaire.

“And of course, with the lead up to Christmas – there couldn’t be a better time to win!”

The winner, who is yet to make contact with the National Lottery, now has a ticket worth a life-changing €1 million.

Ireland’s newest National Lottery millionaire is advised to sign the back of their ticket and make contact with the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize at Lotto HQ.

Also claiming a big Daily Million prize from Lotto HQ was a workplace syndicate who claimed a €1 million top prize which they won on the 9pm draw on Thursday 9th November.

The work group who wish to keep their win anonymous purchased their ticket online at  www.lottery.ie.

Before they make any plans for spending their €1 million winnings, they all plan to take a break over Christmas and enjoy their time at home with family.

The head of the syndicate said: “There’s never a bad time to win a million euro but getting it before Christmas is absolutely perfect! We all have our own families so I think all of the pre-existing Christmas plans and presents have been upgraded to help celebrate the win. Since the win, we haven’t gone mad in work so we’ll go home with the cheque today and take some time off over Christmas before we go mad with any spending plans.”
